The Maui Boardriders Club (under organization) is a non-profit club/organization which seeks to invite & unite everyone on Maui who shares a love for surfing. We welcome all local and visiting surfers to join, regardless of age and wave-riding tool of choice (e.g., shortboard, longboard, SUP, bodyboard, alaia, paipo, kneeboard, etc.). The Club also welcomes skateboarders...it is, after all, what we do when the surf goes flat!
Maui Boardriders Club's mission is to celebrate, honor, and foster the sport/art/lifestyle of surfing in Maui. In keeping with the purpose & objectives of surf clubs on the Mainland and in countries around the world, The Maui Boardriders Club will endeavor to provide its members and supporters with excellent benefits and opportunities.
Membership in The Maui Boardriders Club will include an official membership card, M.B.C. T-shirt, M.B.C. stickers, Club Newsletter, and other perks.
The Club will organize and stage surf contests, fundraisers, beach/shoreline clean-ups, movie nights, seminars, and other special events. M.B.C. will also grant scholarships to student members who excel both academically and in surfing.
The Maui Boardriders Club will be structured as a non-profit organization with leadership positions elected by its Founders and Board of Directors.
The Club will hold general membership meetings once each quarter and an annual surf bash for its members & invited guests.
The Maui Boardriders Club will eventually have several chapters: WestSide, SouthSide, North Shore, & Hana, enabling members to network and compete with one another in member-only contests with cash & prize awards.
Top finishers in The Club's contest series will be invited/sponsored to represent Maui in contests against other clubs in the Mainland and abroad.
With the support of Maui's surf industry, The Maui Boardriders Club will serve the diverse demographic of surfers on the Island: from locals to part-time residents, beginners to pros, groms to masters.
